Hi!! Like to know where to find and then how to interpret this traditional Chinese calendar that shows Zodiac symbols, or Chinese says see sun 8 cheet, to indicate whether a couple is compatible in the future for fortune, family, long term growth/happiness...Much input of U.S. personal references, temples, links, etc. are appreciated.

    Thanks,
    AFun

If you believe in that sort of thing, you can get it on line nowadays:

    http://www.chineseastrologyonline.com/

Essentially, it's a system of divination based upon ancient precepts found in Chinese culture that defined Wu Xing (五行) or the five classical lines (loosely translated as "elements" in English) of Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. These elements can either help to support (aka generate) or oppose (overcome) one another. Belief in their properties are a prime factor within the Chinese practice of Geomancy (aka Feng Shui), which uses these five basics as a springboard to further explain the relationship of things in the universe. Geomancers further subdivide these lines into differences of colors, shapes, direction, et cetera (too many to remember); and the interplay of these cosmic results will determine eventual outcomes. These lines are also used to describe the IChing trigrams, a system arising during the Han, that predicts outcomes based on a table of 64 eventual possibilities.

The time that one is born correlates with these particulars and using such known dates with geomancy principles, determine how well two dates match up. The "See Sun Bot Gee" that is discussed refers to one's date and time of birth and where it falls onto the IChing trigam. Take my word for it, the more you find out, the more confusing it becomes...
