Doesn't have to be Milan, can be anywhere in the world and you can find the same thing, even in HK there are still alot of people living on the street.
LOL... Read it again Kent, I didn't say living ON the sidewalk, but rather living UNDER THE SIDEWALK, as in BELOW, BENEATH; SUBTERRANEAN. If you see the clip, you'll soon realize that the immigrants were found living in an UNDERGROUND COMPLEX that was subdivided into individual and group sleeping quarters. >.< This reminds me of the old stories of New York's turn of the century (1900's) Chinatown, where Triads controlled gambling parlors, prostitution and opium dens that were only accessible underground. You entered through a basement's sub cellar, and an entire underground network of tunnels and crawl spaces existed with every kind of vice known to Chinese civilization being practiced or made available. The only reasonable above ground facility in recent memory that would be similar to that would have been the long gone Kowloon Walled City, another byzantine but distinctly Chinese den of ill repute. I can understand the sentiment but I wouldn't necessarily be in total agreement. China can still be very decent if you have a good job, live in one of the large cities, and are not too outspoken about politics. For the rest of the 60-70% of the population that lives outside of cities, then I would have to agree. Life can be amazingly hard and short there.
Looks like Chinese migrants aren't the only ones taking advantage of underground Italia: In a rush? For a quick synopsis, just read the red highlighted lines. The world can be such a sad place. :tear:
Although this is an extraordinary and thing for most people to hear, but this is true. There has been other news articles that talk regarding this, not only for Chinese people, but for people of many different ethnicity, as Ralph has previously mentioned. Sadly, I can't find the article again, but rest assured, this is true and I think that this will continue on until the government does something to help them.
gosh, so hard to understand and so sad to see situations like this but sadly it does happen everywhere.
I think that most Chinese immigrants already know that they have to work hard. Just not how hard that it could be. Some of the shit that happens can make you wanna cry: In a rush? For a quick synopsis, just read the red highlighted lines.
