its really bugging me. censoring wikipedia and the tiananman incident... wtf... its just wrong. especially if they're gona be the next superpower. plus i was wondering is this the reason why they make so many retarded shows on chinese TV? cuz in my dad's restaraunt i seen these 2 adult goofballs acting childish and i think its very f_cked up lol....
there's no such thing as too harsh. Its what they do to keep power, no possible uprisings. As for goofballs well, they're just the results of the education gap within China and the wealth gap within china, and other watever nonsense.
It is definately harsh compared to democratic standards, but what can you do, China has comunist leaders and they want to control the media.

Well they are communists so they are controlling everything. They even censored the news of their president visiting US recently.
couldn't blame them tho.... the people in some countries are just not ready for democracy yet look at indonesia! ever since they switched from dictatorship to democracy, the government has lost supremacy over its people: laws are not respected, provinces wanting to declare independence, etc....
it is very hard to make democracy work. In Iraq, you have car-bombing like every other day so it slows down the movement of democracy. Though they do have election, they are not the most successful of all elections. Did anybody read Time magazine about the google censorship in China and America about the pictures of Tiananmen Square?
Censorship throughout the world is the same. Do you notice that there's hardly any worldly news report on bad things about America in the states?
