Mooncakes are eaten during mid autumn festivals. hahaha, guess we are partially traditional, but the tradition in my family is a bit loose, and it isn't as big of a thing. WOOT!!! CNY coming up, bahahha...lei see xD
We follow some traditions like the red pockets, mooncakes and you know when a baby is born you make this egg, pork and ginger pot. We don't celebrate big, we just make the traditional things.
lol celebrate big? lol just go ChinaTown where u live and like celebrate there ^^ the City ChinaTown, stock up on Snacks and Asian stuff.
gotta celebrate Chinese New Year for surrre!~ This 'holidday' is the substitution for christmas since my family don't really celebrate christmas..

^ i used to give back my red envelope money because my mom said i was too young to keep it >.> now i keep it all ^-^
i knew what money was when i was young .. my mom told me i took $100 from her and put it in my stuffed animal when i was in elementary school but i don't remember it ever happening-huh?
Oh yeah, traditions are traditions. We don't follow everything per se, but there are some that we never miss, like having dinner together on CNY eve and bai nien on Chinese New Year, eating rice dumplings on 'tuen em' festival, eating mooncakes and lighting lanterns during Mid Autumn festival, having dinner and tong yuen during winter solstice. Did I miss out anything?
