In other polls on the website, the proportion of women who expressed a desire to marry a foreign man had slumped from 42.5 per cent to just 16.8 per cent. Instead, 68 per cent of Chinese women said they preferred to marry a Chinese man. According to the Shanghai Daily newspaper, Fang Fang, a marriage counsellor working for Hongniang, said Chinese women valued "stability" and wanted to accumulate of savings, without which they felt unsafe. By contrast, she said, foreigners living in China cared little about saving money and were only in China for relatively short periods of time. One anonymous 30-year-old poster on a Chinese internet forum said she had dated four foreign men, but that "while they might be more romantic and have better taste than Chinese men, they are not as good in some ways. One of my ex-boyfriends was very petty. We had to split the bill in a restaurant even after going out a long time, which rarely happens with Chinese men." In 2006, a blog written by David Marriot, an English teacher in Shanghai, which detailed a series of conquests of Chinese women caused uproar. A professor at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences called for Chinese internet users to track the then anonymous author of "Chinabounder" and "kick him out of China". Obviously the poll was only applicable in China. It doesn't elaborate on Chinese women living elsewhere and what their feelings are. I do get the sense that most Chinese women (in China) view western men as carpet baggers; that is, those that will take what they can from the local economy and when they're done, go back to someplace else. In essence, they have no intention of staying to begin with, and as such, can only attract a woman willing to accept such a precondition. That's qualitatively different from Chinese women already living in say, Australia, UK, US, or Europe. Where the man isn't going to leave. I also get the feeling that some Chinese women (in China) who do marry western men to begin with, do so with an eye on an Exit Visa in addition to traditional questions about his financials. This can mitigate gold digging and replace it with freedom of movement or travel, to facilitate other needs (religious, political, education, et cetera). A woman may marry the westerner (or oversea Chinese, even) because she can then leave China and say, have more than one child without worrying about legal or political complications. They find whites more romantic, caring and attractive..you no those big blue eyes makes her irresistible..etc...lol But on the other hand, most whites ONLY see asian girls as "pussy objects". They don't care sh!t what they do to them in Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Philippines, VN, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, etc...
Was watching a show on tvb last week i think it was a 2 part series part 1 was about HK guys and part2 was about hk girls. They were saying theres a new term out to describe HK girls "kong liu" which literally just means hk girl. They basically make girls in HK look cheap haha but as you watch more and more it kinda does apply to lot of them. Gold digger, cheap, material, wanted to be treated like a lady but want equal rights etc..... They love designer labels etc..... I bet you will know quite a few ppl like that.
I saw it from Youtube, and I think it was the same one. Was there a HK guy name Peter in it? Those HK girls basically trashed him into pieces because of his low salary. Some of those rejection lines the girls said to him just brutal man! Poor dude..
