Choi Won Yoo attends Han Young University and had previously participated in a lot of local music festivals that has helped him mature in his performance. At MBC's 32nd University Song Festival, Choi Won Yoo performed "For a Long Time", showing off his intricate piano skills and strong, unique vocals. He also performed a short rendition of Wonder Girls' "Nobody" to the surprise and pleasure of the audience. He won an overall silver medal for his performance at the festival. Lee Hyori, who was one of the MCs for the event, commented on Choi Won Yoo's good-looks that were garnering the adoration of the audience. But it seems like Hyori wasn't the only who noticed Choi Won Yoo's attractive appearance - after the broadcast, many netizens also took notice of this new comer.
