Despite being heavily promoted by TVB, Christine Kuo (苟芸慧) was forced to take a hiatus from her career after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism two years ago. The illness caused the 34-year-old to gain immense weight. Without work to occupy her mind and constantly facing negative criticisms, Christine shifted her attention to other projects, including business ventures and car racing. Christine’s investments in a dim sum restaurant proved to be successful. During a recent Lunar New Year photoshoot with good friend, Grace Wong (王君馨), Christine revealed her intentions of expanding her dim sum business by investing in a second restaurant. With a newfound confidence in business schematics, Christine has upcoming plans to open a new café with Grace and Eliza Sam (岑麗香). Christine will handle the cafe’s aesthetics, while Grace will manage the operations. In addition to business ventures, Christine also dedicates her time to car racing. Although she was involved in an accident during a car racing competition last year, Christine remains undeterred about her newfound hobby and expressed her desire to train under a professional car racer. Upon this confession, Grace looked over at Christine and expressed her concern over this dangerous pastime. Christine reassured her friend and said, “Don’t worry. I’lll take good care of myself!” Creds: Oncc
It's good to see these stars venture out into either business or education to fall back on, instead of going over to the mainlaind to make that black $ haha
Car racing is an expensive hobby, she better hold her businesses do really well. People who are investing in China should be very cautious cause the market over there is a mess.
Always has been hasn't it I learned that too though when investing in the US stock markets that had Chinese companies on there, so stupid was I :(
