Recovering from hypothyroidism, Christine Kuo (苟芸慧) has resumed work after taking a few months off. Yesterday, she attended a special Lunar New Year function for children. When a young fan sent her his blessings, hoping that she will soon find her other half, Christine blushed and quickly said, “You should introduce me to someone!” Christine clarified, “Things like this can’t be dealt with in a hurry! I do hope that my next one will be a marriage partner. A girl has to have a home. I’ll work hard!” Asked if Christine had any potential boyfriends caring for her when she was sick, Christine shook her head and said she did not even want to leave her house. “I couldn’t even give myself a chance, let alone other people.” Expressing that she only wants to meet new people when she is in her most beautiful state, she added that she recently purchased peach blossoms – a symbol for love – and displayed them inside her home, hoping that the flowers will bring her good luck. “Looking at the flowers also makes me happier!” With Lunar New Year drawing nearer, Christine hopes to spend the holidays with her parents, whom she wants to bring from Canada to live with her in Hong Kong. She also joked that she is looking forward to retiring. “Maybe it’s because I was sick, so my mentality has changed. I really know what I want to do now.” Christine then added, “When I was sick I was really depressed, and that affects people. Now, I really want to bring more happiness to everyone.
