Congratulations to the newlyweds! Christy Chung (鐘麗緹) and Shawn Zhang (張倫碩) held their wedding reception in Beijing on Tuesday, November 8. The couple had an ocean-themed reception, with their halls decked in seaweed green floors and ocean blue walls. The 46-year-old Canadian actress met the 34-year-old Chinese actor while the two were shooting the Chinese reality show Perhaps Love <如果愛> in 2015. The two became best friends and fell in love. Christy is a two-time divorcee with three daughters. Despite the change in season, the couple opted for a summery ocean-themed wedding for their reception, which was held at the Nuo Hotel in Beijing. The tables and chairs were decorated with oceanic flora, resembling an underwater forest. Portraits of the couple posing underwater with mermaid tails were displayed at the entrance. Even a model of Dory from Finding Dory found her way into the reception. Despite their 12-year age difference, Christy and Shawn understand each other very well, and consider each other as soulmates and best friends. Shawn gets along with all three of Christy daughters, even starring alongside Cayla, Christy’s youngest, in the fourth season of Where Are We Going, Dad? <爸爸去哪兒>. It is rumored that Christy is expecting her fourth child, and first with Shawn, next year.
