I have known for a fact that the ability to remove atmospheric carbon dioxide of the forest and the ocean (and its rich ecosystem) has been reducing at an alarming rate, not only is the system(s) overwhelmed by the ever increasing amount of atmospheric CO2, their colonies has been reduced in size due to climate change since warmer climate desalinates the ocean (melted glaciers anyone?) and changes the forest growth pattern, how's that for a vicious cycle rich in irony?

HOWEVER, scientists should really get creative if they are seriously considering artificial means for CO2 removal... *SIGH*
