College Food

    Lately I've eaten so much everyday. I eat around three plates per meal, three meals per day. It's kind of gluttony of me. What should I do? Stop eating so much or just keep going. i haven't gotten any fatter, but still I could be messing up my chol and trans fat level. Before college I took a blood test and all my fat levels were low. I hope I dont mess it up!

    hmm well it all depends, whats on those three plates normally? Do you exercise? What liquids do you consume?

    If its not bothering you now then it might be safe to keep at it, but if your still worried then cut back a little or at lest go for the better choices. e.g. fruit and veggies.

    Before you eat, have a glass of water. That way you'll feel full faster. Also, it could be stress that's causing you to eat more than you normally would. So try taking it easy for awhile and see if that does the trick.

    yea my friends gained 10 pounds on there first year, dining halls at college are pretty much unhealthy i guess but also they don't exercise that's why, just exercise and choose the low fat and have several light meals and you'll be fine, but i know class schedules causes conflicts and all with your eating periods...

    lots of people gained weight when i was in college
    me and my roommate ended up losing weight

    cause the food was gross, so we didn't eat as much
    also because the food wasn't on the table in front of you like we do at home
    that you had to get up to get something

    than on your first round dont get too much
    and if your full, but not like stuffed
    you'll just be to lazy to get up and get more


    and dont fall into the midnight runs of pizza
    that's how tons of people got fat in my dorm

    lucky i don't live on campus.. but uni does mess up eating habits alot for me!!
    couple days a week i get bak at 8 pm... so i miss dinner and hav it late.. lunch times are irregular... recently i've been making noodles at midnight... lol

    i dont know about college, but hs food is pretty horrible as it is.

    just limit how much you eat, are you on the meal plan? is that why you're eating so much?

    should do a lot of exericises after 3 meals, drink plenty of water too! Well, it also depends on what you think 'fat' is..

    i am from malaysia and i stay in the hostel of my university. since i stay in hostel, most of my meal were taken in my university canteen. well, my canteen mostly sells malay food. bsides, my uni's canteens sell western and vegetarian food too. overall, my canteen is not bad, the food is not that horrible.

    omg dinning hall food is so gross.
