Can anyone suggest a case for me? I've never really bought a case, I always get someones old one :O.
This is my build, or will be when I order it.

    i7 875k
1 WD Caviar Black 1 tb
    GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3P LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
    Radeon HD 5770
    CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified

I wanted something with a side glass panel, so I was looking at the Antec 900 and 902. However, the reviews said people had trouble with fitting their graphics card :(. I'm trying to keep it under $100. Thanks in advance :D

  8. imma have to second kontra on this one.... i use it max and i never hit 60 with the TRUE 120 on my i7.. no liquid cooling on my end...... and why such expensive cases? you dont need to spend so much for a case with good design..............

That seems to be a really good case, but its kinda ugly IMO. I'm still not sure though, that case is $109 on the Canadian Newegg, but I can get the Antec 900 for $93 up here.

a case is just a holding thing for the stuff inside...no point to buy a really good one when

    1) you don't build ur own
    2) you change when you upgrade
    3) the computer won't be more powerful if u have a good case

i have re-used a generic case for 15 yrs...i recently moved to thermal take $200 case that allows me to install up to 11x 5.25" drives and i can move the power button to the top or bottom of the case

I'm not sure about your first comment, but I will be putting everything together myself. I'm just getting it for the good airflow, because I will probably OC it.

5770 isn't exactly a long card... it'll fit in the antec 900 but cards like 5850/5870 will probably have problems.
I'd second the K-62 and the storm scout.

for airflow, either get water cooled, or a case with front fans to draw air from the front and output in the back...not necessarily a sub $100 = good airflow
also the more air vents (mesh), the more cleanup u need to do when the dust starts to collect

Well, based on what I've seen the airflow is decent. However, I do agree that more fans/air vents = more dust.

it doesnt really matter how ugly a case is as long as it does the job. you are gonna put it under the desk or somewhere in the corner anyway. nobody is gonna see it.

Poor air flow would be a big factor when it comes to dust accumulation inside the case. Keep the air moving in and out of the case fast enough and you don't have to worry about it settling in your case. I rarely have to clean the inside of my Thermaltake Armor. A lot of the dust will be captured on the front of the case so cleaning it should be a breeze. I think a lot of the dust in mine comes from the big opening on the top of the case.

If you're going to spend money on a case, why not get one that looks nice? Keep in mind that when it comes to good cases, you're really not paying for how it looks. You're paying for build quality and features.

Huge Question.... are you going to crossfire the 5770? cause i have one of those cards and with my mid tower case... i can't fit the second one cause there isn't enough room from the slot to the bottom of the case..... that card is pretty fat..... ill take measurements later.. but yea.. here is the photo to my sapphire 5770

Notice how the blue pci slot at the bottom has no room for the 2nd card? yeah.... phail....

No, I'm not planning to crossfire, otherwise I would have went for LGA 1366 instead of LGA 1156. Something about the PCI slots sharing bandwidth or something, for 1156, makes crossfire less powerful or w/e, I'm not too sure.

I would suggest a antec 300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042 (i just built a new comp and its pretty good, though the front panel will have TONS OF DUST!!!. You could also look at the cooler master 690/2 which is more expensive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119216.

I got a powercolor 5850PCS in my antec 300 and it fits if I don't have the harddrive mounted after the video card. I also use a coolermaster 212plus where it fits perfectly on the p55a-ud3(same as urs without esata)
