If you take out your Graphics card then how do you use the integrated graphics on your MoBo, is there some connector your supposed to connect to the motherboard that then connects to the monitors AGP cable?
its for my old pc, it seems like it doesn't have a gpu in it, its the A7N8x, the Deluxe model had the graphics though
if this is your mobo then there is no integrated video on the board http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=219&l1=3&l2=13&l3=58&l4=0 look for a blue vga connector on the back of the pc...if there is one you will need to enable it via the bios.
Hi master_g, If is the Asus A7N8X your referring to then from memory that motherboard has no integrated graphics so you cannot take out your video card. If it did have an integrated video card you can usually just take out the video card and your integrated graphics would work just by plugging the monitor into the blue VGA port. Hope this helps.
Thanks guys, it did not have integrated graphics, luckily i had an old FX5900 that i plugged in and its fine now, hate Vista sometimes
most motherboards have auto switch, if you plug in a standalone card it will read from there, if you take out the card it will switch back to the onboard one
