Computer technician found guilty of steal Edison Chen's racy photos The culprit behind the online dissemination of Hong Kong celebrities' racy photos, Sze Ho-Chun, was convicted on three charges last Thursday for "dishonest use of computers with criminal intent". Due to the severity of the matter, Sze was remanded to custody, pending sentence on May 13. The Kowloon City Court expressed that the accused had damaged the good faith that the computer repair shop had for its customers when he breached the trust of his employer and stole customer data. The judge pointed out that the accused had intentionally committed malice despite being aware of his company's regulations which prohibit staff from copying customers' data. Loopholes were also found in Edison Chen's statements that were recorded in Canada. Chen, who has always saved his photos in his personal computer, deleted all the photos three months before sending the computer for repair but he offered no explanation for this abrupt action. The mother of the 24-year-old computer technician convicted, begged the judge to reduce her son's sentence at the hearing. She said she has been worried about the matter for a year and has not considered filing an appeal. According to reports, Chen's computer was under repair between January and June 2006. 1,300 photos, that showed him having sex with Hong Kong female celebrities including Gillian Chung, Cecilia Cheung and Bobo Chan, were downloaded from his computer during this time and later uploaded onto the Internet.
