Computers in UK Vs USA

    Are computers in the UK different than computers in the USA. Is windows and the physical keyboard layout any different

    If so please explain

    I am looking at a Toshiba Qosmio F30-117

    The keyboard for the US and UK are somewhat similar if not the same.
    Another difference i can think of is the power connection cords, those would most likely be different.
    Are we talking about a built system from say Dell or HP?
    Or a made from scratch system?

    No difference hardware wise. Just most likely with the power connection.

    OS is same... language settings might be a little different.. but english is english, regardless of whether it is UK or US.

    your main worry about be the power chord... North american power outlets are completely different, and if you bought a US computer, you would need to buy a power converter... which are fairly cheap anyway.

    I dont see you having any problems besides the power

  8. i reinstalled xp and i forgot to set the language to uk so it was on us.... my keyboard was messed up bad

    I have that blue character that's on the number 4 on the UK board. The only difference is that mine is on number 5 instead.
