Wednesday September 10, 2008 Hong Kong The late musical superstar, Leslie Cheung (張國榮) would have marked his 52nd birthday on Friday and to remember the singer, his former manager and good friend Florence Chan (陳淑芬) has gathered many of Leslie's friends together to perform in a Miss You Much Leslie Continuing Love Concert <Miss You Much Leslie繼續寵愛音樂會> at Chongqing's Olympic Centre. Among the guests taking part in the concert that is expected to attract over 40,000 fans include Dicky Cheung (張衛健), Patrick Tam (譚耀文), William So (蘇永康), Deanie Ip (葉德嫻), Chilam Cheung (張智霖), Joyce Cheng (鄭欣宜), Ella Wang (王若卉), Winnie Xin (辛曉琪) and Grasshopper (草蜢). Jacky Cheung (張學友) will be taking on the role of artistic director for the show. The performers gathered recently at a recording studio for rehearsals and Florence revealed more details about the show. She added that there will be various memorial items on sale to raise money for charity, including an eco-friendly shopping bag, DVD's of the 5th Anniversary concert that was held in April that contains a souvenir programme and also limited edition CDs of the concert.
