Anyone knows how to cook chinese food ?? if yes, what kind of food ?? I only know how to cook noodles
It would be easier if you name the food item ^^b I don't really know how to call them in English. But I can cook most at-home items... Learn to cook sometimes can get you the girl/guy... Serious.
i can cook a lot of stuff: Congee Rice/ Fried Rice Instand Noodle/ Chow Mein Chicken Dishes (Jaam Guy/ Chicken in Black Bean Sauce) and several orther stuff
Hm, I can make easy stuff like fried eggs and stir fried mix vegies. lol. Others include steak, satay chicken, curry chicken, drunken chicken.... And yes, I'm a chicken fan. XD But the hardest thing I find to master is boiling rice.... I hate it that I can't ever get the amount of water right. >.<;; That's a uni studen for you. *Sigh* hiake: Haha I agree. After all, as the old and over used saying goes.... "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach'. X3
Same im a chicken fan aswell ^ ^ lol would like to learn all the ways in cooking them!!! Boiling rice is SIMPLE!!! It might just be because i do it everyday (yes i cook dinner for my family at the age of 16 >.<)
@A_F: I can cook everything mentioned in this thread so far... so ^^b I just don't know how to call them in English... I can whip up a decent meal for the older generation (means no take-out, alas) no problem... if that helps @DA: I never get the Satay chicken right... @_@b The taste is kind of different every time. Really need to standardize the recipe >.<
can cook rice/ fried rice, noodles, stir fry, dried stuff like egg...congee, chicken stuff..dumplings, won ton..tong yun, soup, steam fish, a few dim sum, and dan taat =D
whoaaa someone can make daan taat can you share the recipe i wanna know too...but the recipes ive used all suck >.< i can only make instant noodles -doh
Making instant noodle is a skill on its own.. you gotta make sure u don't burn urself... screw up sauce pouring into the bowl.... and the noodle texture of the noodle is just right...lol
recipe for dan taat is verys simple...for the pastry i just use puff pastry n roll that out thinly then cut it into even circle shapes then fit into the moulds...(its too long making the pastry XD ) For the custard.. 2 small eggs ( you can just use the yolks for a darker colour if you want) 60g superfine caster sugar 175ml of milk Mix it together n just pour into the moulds..(can add a few drops of vanilla essence if prefered..) cook in a preheated oven at 150C for 25 - 30 minutes (until golden brown n the custard is set) hope this helps!! x x
My specialty is any kind of pasta... meat ball sauce from scratch, alfredo etc @_@b I love pesto sauce but it's such a nuance to make. Oh yeah, and curry and those "chinese style" beef stew thing
