This is definitely a good find, also heard of this before. Ppl tend to spend way too much time penned up indoors.
Wow, so going hiking have therapeutic effects? I guess people just need a little time off from day-to-day
But if you live in a small country like Hong Kong or Singapore, it will be very hard to find this oasis of peace and quietness ...
Well, in Hong Kong I live next to the mountain, so I can go pseudo-hiking all the time, but it's just pseudo-hiking because the road's paved Not sure about SP though, must ask XJ about that -lol
^ And then you'll have to worry about snakes and centipeds =_=b I guess I'll just pseudo-hike on paved roads, long as I am surrounded by greenery I'm good ^0^
Not the kinds that can literally kill you. We have some dangerous ones, but not as poisonous as the ones in Asia.
Well, we have a total of THREE species of venomous snake... if that's what you are asking... And yeah, somehow Asia got much more dangerous species @_@b
But as far as I know these animals, if you don't do something funny, they will not attack you. Since creating venom is lots of work. Especially if they don't use it for lunch ...
^ They kind of have to create it... not unlike how we "create" our blood, automatic yet it DOES take effort/resources (from the body).
Actually... it depends on whether the person enjoys walking in the first place... I think some people might find it quite stressful and that would make 'walking to reduce depression' pointless instead ..
