[TVB television] Crime File - donnie yen 1991 hi ,, it is my first req. i hope someone can get me this one Crime File 1991 (TVB television) Crime File is a cop soap opera that examines the tensions within a Regional Crime Unit. Yen plays Dan, a hardheaded maverick cop nicknamed ‘Bomb.’ He wears a signature motorcycle jacket throughout the series and is in the mold of Mel Gibson’s Lethal Weapon cop. Bomb and Wong are crime unit members who disagree with their newly appointed inspector, Yuen; eventually, after better understanding, they learn to cooperate and become friends. Man, a headstrong policewoman, can’t tolerate Dan’s attitude and she constantly argues with him. Eventually they fall in love. The series includes numerous action sequences as the cops break big cases; however, it gives equal time to the cops’ personal lives. For Yen’s character, his discovery that his godfather is involved in illegal drug trafficking and also responsible for his father’s death forces him to examine his values and to decide whether to act upon them.
