Forgive me, I know that most of us here are Asian and in particular, Chinese. But shouldn't most of those threads in the Current World News & Events forum belong in the Chinese Chat group instead? One would expect discussion of more international consequence, but we're treated to stories about people in China eating a GF's nose, wrecking a BF's car, or beating up their neighbor over a bus seat. Granted, the Tianjin explosion and Xi's talks with Obama are arguably world news, but HK mooncakes being seized?

    Just saying...

Frankly, I think that most of us are Sino-centric enough that we would gravitate there to read those Chinese human interest stories, at least I know I would.

Hmm, you raise some good points. I'll move the "lesser" news to the Chinese chat section. The main purpose of the World News Section is to cover big news like the Tianjin explosion and other non-Asian related news stories.
