Requirements for my old man's phone: This is typically the businessman's phone qwerty wifi sync with MS outlook pocket office no cam necessary, but if cam (around 2MP) Budget: below 300CAD Requirements for my phone: qwerty or touch screen wifi java or python apps preferably windows mobile (NO SYMBIAN OS BULLSHIT) no sony ericssons preferably an HTC, or maybe a crackberry GPS (optional, or just map compatibility is fine) cam (>2MP) Budget: 300CAD or so can i gets helps, recommendations and suggestions plox?!
go with the htc touch pro for yourself...... and a blackberry would be the phone for the business man....
i used to sell the touch pro at work... i got it in on the first day, and i was majorly disappointed with the shape... small and fat =( can blackberry sync with outlook? i forgot
see... i'm going through the same problem atm... i would have gone blackberry... but having been spoiled by SE... BB phones have SHITE cameras... i understand that a phone != camera... but they're HORRID! :( The only phones remotely resembling what i'm looking for are the Omnia on VZW or the N95black... fck me for hating VZW...
you can get a storm on a 2 year plan for around 300 iirc. the thing has a pretty awesome screen, was watching a movie on my friend's, had an excellent resolution.

300 bucks, the best thing you could get would probably be from HTC, or if you don't need the 3G just get an old iphone.
w/ the new leaked fw, the storm is a lot better... but the camera sucks pretty hard... and that damn bogo for the storm is soooooo enticing atm...
I was going to suggest nokia, but i guess that possibility is out the window. You should probably wait, there is going to be Omnia v2, htc diamond and pro, both v2 coming out in june... Though for 300CAD or so... I can't see much happening. Contract or unlocked? I'm not sure how you like your choices. As for your old man, sorry, don't got much flowing through the brain waves.
ugh... VZW's Omnia just turned me off... it doesn't have a sim slot for GSM like the Storm... so fck it...
ya they can...the blackberry desktop software will do it for you....but you won't need the outlook anymore because the BB handles email's differently and uses RIM's proprietary system. for you its hard to get too much for 3 bills especially if you don't want the contract...but i think you can get a HTC diamond for a decent price
diamond sucks lol i sell that device too well, what i've decided, was to separate the phone from the device i might just get an ipod touch, jailbreak the shit and just use it like that my current phone is fine, as a phone only.
Yeah, most decent phones are 300 CDN +. I've been looking at the Nokia E71 and it might suit you, its 449 CDN with tax though...
