    China has for years suffered rebukes of racism for their lack of ethnic harmony, often because Han Chinese are blatantly treated better over other ethnic minority contemporaries. In a story that follows the Xinjiang Riots (discussed at length in this [ame="http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48788"]other PA thread[/ame]) PRC authorities finally get to one of the causative factors, the perception of unequal treatment in the eyes of the law. The government aims at quieting Uigher sentiments that Han Chinese who assault or harm Uighers will never receive harsh punishment:

    Here in malaysia, the majority malay race gets blatant preferential treatment, housing discounts, scholarships etc. In this world, there should be no place for govt approved racism. I hope China sets a good example!
