holy shit. i am raging right now. i placed an order for an inspiron 1525 at Dell on nov 30th, my birthday. the expected delivery date posted was on dec 10th. it is now dec 12th. i was expecting it to be delayed, due to holiday season, maybe a set back of about a weeks time. so i made a call to dell just to find out the status of my order, and guess what. they changed the estimated date to the 12th of next month. i am quite understanding when it comes to delays, but to extend it by a month's time, and NOT offer a reason for the delay is a spike up the ass. not only that, i finally have a first hand experience as to why people say Dell's customer service sucks balls. i might just have to cancel it, and go to fs/bb to pick one up for a 100 bucks more. FUCK.
what aggravates me is that i can't cancel the order... if i were to buy the same laptop at best buy or future shop, it would be 200 dollars more, money i don't have it offers the best deal for what i want, but it has the shittiest service... FUCK. guess i have to wait.
is that one of the oldschool inspirons? or did you buy from their new Studio series? the silver inspirons are so played out, but i like the studio ones quite alot

i know how you feel, they did the same thing w/ my desktop when i ordered it last year. the worst thing was they didn't even bother to screw in most of the hardware inside. i found out when i try putting in my thumb drive into the media reader and the whole f*ing thing fell into the tower along w/ the dvd drive.
call in and tell them ur gonna cancel ur order unless they make up for fcking u over for a month... especially since they pushed ur order TWICE... might as well chance it, cancel it and reorder later...
i have excellent service.....i get my stuf within 1 week and my monitor that i broke i get a full exchange and fast service .. they mailed me the monitor then gave me a box to mail them back all shippin expense paid
yea i never had a problem with dell before either... but just call them up and see what they can do for you to compensate.
LOL, what a lot of customers never realize is that Dell already knew that they won't have the order on time. But, they promise customers a false date just to make the sale. Then even if they can't deliver, the go through the usual "We're so sorry, we apologize, forgive us, due to unanticipated circumstance, unexpected volume, yada yada, F... you's... we still have your money and we're laughing all the way to the bank! Sucker... Who's next?" If you want an eye opener, just google the following: Dell class action ...you'll begin to get a sense of what a shitty company it really is.
Cannot believe Dell won't let you cancel the order, you should be able to since you laptop is not on production. You sure gone with HP, they had the black friday 40% off with live.com deal but only hand full people got on the deal because live.com sever couldn't handle the demand.
^ canada. not states and yes they did let me cancel it. but i decided to just keep the order, and wait to see what sales they have during boxing day. if there are no good deals, i'll just have to wait. if there are, i'll just cancel this one then.
