Denise Ho (何韻詩) expressed her desire to get married and hopes Hong Kong and Taiwan will legalize same-sex marriage soon. The 37-year-old pop star attended an event for the cosmetics brand Clinique in Taiwan recently, wearing a two-piece white dress that showed off her abs and back. She joked that it was time to show off her other assets, “Now that I’m in Taiwan again, why not make everyone happy!” she said. Wearing more and more daring outfits, Denise said she hopes to present a different side of her to her fans. She admitted that her limit has reached an all-time low, and hopes that everyone will be accepting of her new image. In the last few years, Denise has placed her career efforts primarily in Taiwan. She also revealed that she will be purchasing some property in Taiwan this year, hinting at her long-term focus in Taiwan. However, she will not neglect her career in Hong Kong and hopes to reach a balance. “A lot has been going on in Hong Kong recently and I cannot just run away from it. I want to contribute my efforts to Hong Kong.” Denise came out of the closet at the Hong Kong Pride parade in November 2012, earning the support and praises of many colleagues. Asked if anything significant has changed since then, Denise said, “Since coming out, I have not been given any pressure. In the past I used to be afraid about the paparazzi, but now I really don’t care anymore. They can follow me all they want!” She said she would love to get married, but will only consider it after Taiwan and Hong Kong legalize same-sex marriages. Denise, who grew up in Montreal, added, “Although same-sex marriages are allowed in Canada, it would be more meaningful to get married in my native land. If Taiwan does legalize it first, I’ll probably rush over to get married!” Denise is rumored to be dating Taiwanese actress, Joanne Teng (鄧九雲).
