Deschanel says "Yes" to Carrey comedy

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Zooey Deschanel will play Jim Carrey's love interest in "Yes Man," which follows the unexpected comedic adventures of a man who decides to change his life by saying yes to everything that comes his way.

Peyton Reed is directing the Warner Bros. project, which is based on British author Danny Wallace's memoir. Bradley Cooper already has been cast as Carrey's best friend.

Deschanel, still in a few theaters with "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," recently wrapped shooting M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening," in which she stars opposite Mark Wahlberg. She next appears on the Sci Fi Channel miniseries "Tin Man."
