When she came out of the bathroom, everyone was taking candles and sparkles, singing Ella’s composition to spring a surprise for her. Despite facing such a moving set-up, always “tough-guy” Hebe refuses to let her defence down and did not shed any tears. But she claimed after the event, “Actually I did feel an upsurge of emotions. I’m not deserving to have such great family members and friends to give me their well-wishes.” As her parents were present, she simply refused to be moved to tears, and was teased by Ella as “showing a black face”.
