Would youu guys prefer dial up or broadband internet? I am using dial up now... And its killing me.... Can't download anything...-clapclap
Not boring, it's expensive!!!! I used to spend like 200 bucks or more on dial-ups, but with broadband, i just pay 66 bucks and get to use it 24/7 ... lol
shldn't it be more expensive to have broadband cmp to dialup? how do you spend $200 on dialup and only $66 for broadband?
woah, dialup still exists... definitely broadband is better. even cellphones are going into 3G/3.5G/4G now. the prices for broadband in Australia seems to be kinda high though. $30 for 256kbps ASDL is too high. if you do get broadband, try going for cable there.
Best to get broadband, but not everyone can afford broadband depending on the country they're in. In Australia broadband is very expensive compared to other countries like US, Europe, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. I can tell you broadband in Australia really suck!!!!!...it is never unlimited. Worst they do is really cap your speed depending on your plan and the speed end up being like dial up speed. There are cheap broadband plan around but the quality of the service is really poor. They may be cheap ones for 35 or 40 dollar a month with 15 or 20 gigs of download. Anything cheaper than that you actually pay even more cos you get those plan with 200 Mbytes download limit with 15/20 cent per megabytes extra you download. Dial up is still the cheapest option in Australia for those who can't afford broadband plus you can go almost anywhere with it within Australia and use dial-up as long as there is a telephone connection. With Broadband you can't do that, have to wait for activation on the exchange for 1 week before you can use it.
broadband all the way!! i've got a couple of friends still on dial up and they always complain!! lol for me dial up and broadband are about the same price. constantly dialling is a phone call per dial lol. and it wasn't even untimed and had 4hr limits.. did any1 else hav that? 4 hrs then it was compulsory to dc wait 15mins then recconect again? :@ don't know if it's still like that now tho. yeah i'm in australia and i thought my plan was cheap!! how much is it in all those other places? also read somewhere that australia's broadband isn't even consider broadband .. it's "fraudband" lol. 256 here is considered broadband but in other places it's not considered broadband unles it's 1.5mbps? Australia's so behind!
