Hi Currently if anyone has downloaded k-series 'Coffee Prince' if you notice it is using x264 codec. I own an xbox 1 & i use XBMC to watch divX ect.. but when i watch coffee prince it lags. I went on forums to read about it & it says that the reason is the xbox 1 CPU. firstly can i ask * what is x264, is it any of the below - 720x480 pixel video output to 480p HDTV (720x480 progressive) = OK! (eg not upscaled). - 720x480 pixel video output to 720p HDTV (1280x720 progressive) = OK! (eg upscaled). - 720x480 pixel video output to 1080i HDTV (1920x1080 interlaced) = OK! (eg upscaled) Has any1 encountered this problem on the xbox?
lol divx is so ancient..its called x264 or H.264 only x264 is a codec for Mpeg 4 It could be for those video if they were encoded with x264 (most likely) for high quality stuff
yeh its just a enconding format for high quality its lagging most likely because the xbox does not have enough grunt to decode the vid most high qual encoded vids like h264 will need dual core cpus and gpu acceleration too
