Do you have a radar detector? If so, which brand?

Does anyone have a radar detector for their car? Would you recommend getting one of them?

 

I wouldn't recommend getting one. I have a valentine 1, but that didn't keep me from getting busted for speeding. Nowadays, lots of cops use laser instead of radar to track down targets, and the valentine 1 can't catch laser signals in time.

 

I have a Valentine 1 also and it's been good for me. You just need to remember that no radar detector is a substitute for being alert. The Valentine 1 catches everything far enough in advance for you to slow down but I have never been caught by laser before so I can't vouch for that part.

omg i swear they were banned and you can only have a gps device that tells you where the speed cams are....maybe im wrong
