I was having an interesting chat with my cousin. we were swapping relationship stories and he asked me this one question "How did he ask?" what he is referring to is, how did he ask the official question, will you be my girlfriend, changing the status of the relationship to from an open dating relationship to an exclusive relationship. It was interesting to think about because in teh particular story he was asking about, there was no official question, no official date. It just became that way. There was no actually talking about it or a celebration of a moment. Anyways I just wanted to hear people's stories, if there was or was not a question asked, if does it matter? Maybe with age, it doesn't really matter anymore. It just seems like the question was something that we use to do in high school when dating was still new and fresh, that then the question was we could giggle and share about with our friends. This is just a theory, not sure yet
Hmmm a lot of my Caucasian friends obsess about the term official a lot, I think it just depends on the situation like sometimes it just happens naturally and sometimes an official question is asked
i was dating a girl for about a month and i could tell that she wanted to be "official" so i was lucky that our homecoming dance was coming up and so during one of the slow dances i aksed her if she would be my special someone...so i guess there was a question after all...but this was in high school so yeah, i agree that with age, the "question" becomes less important and more importance is placed upon mutual feelings that don't need to be said...
