Well, I don't. The next time I see the person I'll usually thank them in person instead. Is it considered rude not to write a thank you card back to the person?
If I get business gifts or gifts from people that I don't know too well, I will write a thank you card. If I get gifts from friends, I usually just give them a hug & kiss to thank them. It really depends on how well you know the person, and the type of relationship you have with him/her.
No one has ever wrote a thank you card to me before, so I never wrote any back. Saying thank you in person, shaking hands and maybe a hug is much more personal than some letter.
i never gave anyone a thank you card before but now you say it...a thank you card is such a good idea. i'm gonna try sending them from now on...
no... i jsut thank them in person... most of the times my friends and i exchange gifts and then we say thank you to each toher.
Depends on the nature of the gifts. For business, basically goes straight to the compliance department to determine if I get to keep it. As long as business gift is less than $100, I don't need to report. For personal gift, that's deferent story. For family gifts, we returns the same favor. For friends gifts, that depends on the value. If it is too much, then we have to return favor. If it is not much, just thanking them is good enough.
Not really! If I get a gift fm someone, I would say thank you straight away. Afterward why bother to waste time & money to write something like that again.
i rarely write a card at all. i think most the time if i have something to say, whether it be thank-you, happy b'day, happy anniversary, xmas etc.. i just say it to the person when i receive the gift. i think the only time i'd write is if it were a business sorta thing.. then it requires a more formal sorta "thank you".
i don't either... it's bad for the environment... just send them an email or go up to the person n give them a -hug
I agree with one poster on this board that if it's a gift from someone 'm not familar with eg a business associate, then I will write a thank you note as a matter of courtesy. To my close friends and relatlives, a verbal one would be enough.
