Married for 9 years, Donnie Yen (甄子丹) and Cecilia Wang (汪詩詩), were known as a golden couple blissfully in love. To celebrate their anniversary, Donnie organized a romantic 4 days, 3 nights getaway to a luxury resort in Phuket, Thailand. Leaving their children behind, the couple were able to celebrate their romance and passion for each other! When Donnie met the Miss Chinese Toronto beauty in 2003, he quickly proposed to Cecilia after dating for only 3 months. Their 18-year age gap is not a problem and Cecilia often accompanies Donnie to red-carpet events, with the couple showering public affection upon each other openly. On August 29, Donnie and Cecilia flew to Phuket, Thailand and stayed at the Trisara Hotel, an exclusive 33-villa resort with stunning ocean views. Although Donnie and Cecilia had their own private pool in their villa, they chose to use the main pool and enjoyed their vacation freely. The couple took playful underwater photographs and Donnie even strutted his kung fu moves in the pool! In the evening, the couple had a barbecue by the poolside. Donnie Reveals Love Tattoo With Donnie’s bare back revealed in his swimming trunks, a large tattoo bearing Cecilia’s Chinese name, Si (詩), peaked out from the left side of his waistband. Donnie obtained the tattoo to honor his love for his wife. After giving birth to her daughter, Jasmine, in 2004, Cecilia’s waist was full of stretch marks. She asked Donnie to get a tattoo on his waist, upon which he refused. When their son, James, was born in 2007, Donnie offered to get a tattoo on his own. “He brought me to watch the tattoo process. He did not ask for topical anesthesia despite the waist area being one of the top 5 greatest pain points in the human body. Seeing him grit his teeth in pain while getting the tattoo, I was very moved,” Cecilia recalled. Cecilia and Donnie thoroughly enjoyed their Phuket vacation and the freedom of not traveling with their young children.
