I don't know how true this is but a friend just sent it to me ... I always tried to avoid GMO food ... need to read the label more .. frankly, GMO is still too early ... anyone read up on this subject .. perhaps might be able to shed some more light on it. http://www.infowars.com/research-links-genetically-modified-food-to-long-term-sterility/
From what I can tell from a quick internet search... looks like a bunch of paranoid, conspiracy theorists are blowing this out of proportion... like there's a video of a man who fed his GMO corn to his sows, and now, his entire herd is sterilized... ok, but what about all the other millions of sows out there that aren't? Most of the corn in the US is GMO... why aren't they effected like this poor farmer is?
That's a generalization. Lots of foods are genetically modified (nectarines = cross between plum and peach) but no one would ever think those were unhealthy. Besides many foods do not indicate they are genetically modified. How are you going to avoid them all?
I agree with the two posters above me. I admit that I'm not a student in this science field, but a quick google scholar search did not provide any useful results. The internet has given ordinary persons the freedom to express themselves, but there are enough cases where this freedom is misused to spread fear and bad info. Some people like to use invalid arguments to convince others, up to the point of citing irrelevant or unexisting studies that would support their claim. The best thing to do is use your common knowledge and "real" sources. Would you believe a Medical Doctor with 30 years of experience and research or a random person on the internet pretending to have Doctor's degree? I fail to see how GMO food would lead to sterility or hair growth in mouths (again I'm not a student in this area).
