Edison Chen arrives in Singapore Edison Chen appears in Singapore last Friday after testifying in Vancouver court on Monday against the computer technician who leaked out the artistes' sex photos. He was expected to arrive in Singapore at 12.50pm but had last minute changed his flight and arrived here at 3pm instead. Among the 20 local and Hong Kong media stationed at Changi Airport Terminal One was one Chinese fan of Chen, 21-year-old Katalina Jiang, who revealed that she is envious of the female celebrities involved in the scandal because they are able to be in close contact with him. "I'll be very proud to be one of them." She added that she would be very happy to be friends with Chen. The group of media found themselves waiting in vain for five hours when a Hong Kong tabloid source tipoff that Chen had already left the airport. It was later reported that Chen had made his exit through Jet Quay's CIP Lounge instead. Chen was supposed to make his appearance at 7pm at Bang & Olufsen's showroom for Carl's Junior's product launch party. Fans and non-fans alike started to crowd outside Grand Hyatt at 6pm waiting for Chen's appearance, but the party did not start until 8pm and Chen only made his appearance at 8.15pm in a black suit for a short five minutes. During which he was seen giving a short speech at the event and posing for a photo shoot. The crowd outside the event screamed in excitement when Chen waved through the windows which separated them, creating a chaotic scene. After the event at Scotts Road, Chen later arrived at Havelock Road at 10.10pm for an Adidas party. Security guards blocked camera flashes with two black umbrellas to pave the way for Chen who was seen more casually dressed in a black T-shirt. Though it was reported earlier on that Chen attended the events as the organizers' friends, according to staff at Adidas, the brand spent a large sum to invite Chen to grace the event. At the event also were local artistes Cynthia Koh and Milo Peng; however, they did not know that Chen will be attending the event before they were there. At 10.50pm, Chen left quietly from the back door of the warehouse and walked to the hotel nearby where he boarded his vehicle.
