Wednesday May 30, 2007 Taiwan Edison Chen 'Frozen' because he didn't want to be an Idol Edison Chen was earlier in Taiwan to promote his new song 'Sill Remember Me?' (記得我嗎) where he admitted to been 'frozen' by his company for 3 years. Edison said, "My company wanted me to become some sort of idol. I didn't want that." Ever since entering the entertainment industry, Edison has been rumoured to be dating with many girls, including Rosanne Wong, Bobo Chan, Maggie Q, Gillian Chung, Jolin Tsai and Elva Hsiao. But only one person has been announced his girlfriend and this person is Vincy Yeung. Edison disclosed that 90% of media reports are lies. As for his career, it was also rumoured that he was not getting along with Jay Chou and Shawn Yue while filming 'Initial D'. Edison denied ever seeing Jay Chou as an enemy but admitted to disliking Shawn at one stage, he commented, "But when we filmed 'Infernal Affairs 2', we were made to eat dinner together by Andrew Lau. i don't know if i could handle being a celebrity. first of all, you have no privacy whatsoever. second, what's the chance of you actually having a happy normal family? third, all that you say/do impacts a lot of people -what? and that scares me sometimes when some young teens idolize celebrities and do all the stupid stuff they see
apart from the money, there isnt much thats good, unless your the kind of the person that thrives on attention
hehe...I didn't even know Edison Chan got frozen. Well, gotta applaud him for sticking to his principles
Funny, that and the fact that he spills about the whole thing afterwards. But really, I think the Hong Kong entertainment scene has enough attention wh0re to last a few lifetime, so one less wouldn't make a dent
