Sunday December 24, 2006 Hong Kong Ella Koon Dresses Up as Santa Clause Despite not receiving any presents from Santa in her childhood, Ella Koon believes that Santa Clause brings happiness to children. This is why she decided to dress up as Santa and his helper this year. Dressed up as a youthful Santa and a pretty helper, Ella brought happiness, warmth and a Christmas spirit. In her childhood, Ella did not have a Christmas tree because her family were not too well off and her father never pretended to be Santa to give her presents. Ella expressed that because she matured quickly, she has never thought that anyone would be coming down from her chimney to give her presents. But as an adult, Ella wants to dress up as Santa to visit poor children in mainland’s highland regions. Ella will be spending Christmas alone as she will be flying to Taiwan to work on a movie. But the optimistic believes that this is a great chance for her to work on her Mandarin. Ella commented, “Even though I am going over by myself, I can celebrate with the cast and crew members!” Ella has always wanted to go to Switzerland to have a white Christmas.
