ELLA’s Hometown Badly Hit by Typhoon, Jiang Hui Leads Wang Leehom, S.H.E in Fundraising

    As the Morakot typhoon continues to raid Taiwan, the impact of the disaster worsened by days. Taiwan’s Min Nan language Heavenly Queen Jiang Hui managed to raise NT$ 10,000,000 in the first instance; meanwhile Jay Chou and Wang Leehom each donated NT$2,000,000. Elva Hsia, Jolin Tsai, Barbie & Dee Hsu, together with other celebrities also did their parts in the fund raising activities. Ella’s hometown, PIngtung, was badly hit by the disaster; together with other members in S.H.E, and artistes within HIM, they donated NT$2,000,000.

    Just being awarded recently as Best Female Singer in Min Nan language category in Golden Melody Award, Heavenly Queen Jiang Hui Heavenly Queen Jiang Hui updated her blog to encourage fans to do their part and contacted Quan Lian Welfare Chairman Mr Lin Min Xiong, who generously donated NT10,000,000. Jiang Hui shared that she would continue to make efforts to raise funds after she passed the current funds raised to the charity organizations.

    Meanwhile Jay Chou, who was in the United States currently, immediately donated NT$2,000,000 to TVBS Care for Taiwan funds when he first heard of the news. Wang Leehom also donated NT$2,000,000 and led the 70 staff of Sony Music to donate a day’s wages. Cai Qin donated NT$1,000,000 to Taiwan World Vision while Mayday, Fish Leong, Victor Huang etc donated another NT$2,000,000. A-Xin (Mayday) also made another donation of NT$500,000 under his apparel brand “StayReal”. On the other hand, Show Luo, Stanley Huang, Jolin Tsia, Rainie Yang raised a total of NT$3,000,000. Jolin Tsai shared, “Hope that the government would be able to alleviate the sufferings of the victims sooner.”

    Elva Hsiao and her mother donated NT$1,000,000 to Ci Ji; while S.H.E and fellow HIM artistes donated NT$2,000,000 together. Ella’s hometown, which is Pingtung, has been badly hit by the typhoon, she shared, “To eat is one of the basic needs of human, yet we are seeing many people who are suffering in hunger now. I feel that the fastest way to render help to them now is through making donations of funds.”

    Barbie & Dee Hsu also raised a total of NT$2,000,000; Li Jing donated NT$100,000, and newcomer Hey-Girl Yao Yao also made a donation of NT$10,000.

    lets hope so .. too many times i learned someone somewhere will either misuse the donated money or steal it and hide away.
