I've been recently recieving a few suspcious emails from Windows Live Mail team saying that "I" request a password reset which Im 100% I havent. Ofc it says click on this link to reset your password etc..and finishes off very proffesionally Do you think this is some sort of hacking/phishing email trying to steam my email account? I cannot afford my email to be compromised by any chance at all if it did, im probably die!>.< But yeh been recieving the same email for the pass few weeks its like WTF
Sure you haven't for spyware or something like that? I used to get it with some online games sending me emails about password reset and all thatwhen I used to play it but I tend to ignore it and everything is fine...
dont worry, its just phishing or w/e its called, dont even open it, just delete it, hotmail sux at blocking this stuff i get WoW ones every 2 days even though i aint played the game in years
Either phishing or someone else is really trying to reset your password, but that would mean that they have a lot of personal details about you (bday etc), including the answer to the secret question.
I had the same problem here I basically tried to logon to my hotmail i typed my user and password several times then i clicked on reset password but i didnt fill anything about the secret question then i was like forwarded to hotmail again and i can log on to it normally but i got this password reset email telling me to copy and paste it as it says hotmail is secure doin that way then i though i must be something dodgy going then i just ignore it
