i've come across this topic, and wondered what other people think... is it best to buy a car at the end of the year, or sometime like after april when everyone's poor from paying their taxes? I've noticed the car i want right now is either all out of the colors I like, or they are missing options, selling out, etc etc. Deals are great, but no selection.

end of the year is best... that's when all the companies try to beat quota's so they'll go a few hundred to a couple thousand under invoice...

the reason why april-may is also a good time is because that's when the new models roll out... not tax season... although its still not as good as end of the year though =/

it also really depends on which car... because there's no way in hell ur getting a BMW these days newhere near invoice... so don't try... same with STi's and depending on the dealers, Evo's aswell...

depends which country u are in i guess...

back in aust, i'd say it was end of june, as thats the end of financial year
can get quite a few bargains

after new years, u'r more likely to get the newer models etc, but price would be an issue then
u can always get the old model, cos it'd be a runout special
