Help plz... learning english for cantonese speakers

    Hi all,

Was wondering if someone could help me.
I'm looking for for some good books/audio CDs that I could get for a friend who wants to learn english. I've seen the 'Pimsleur english for chinese (Cantonese) speakers' which looks ideal, but its abit pricy and I cant find a torrent which I could download to try it out.

If anyone has any advice I would greatly apreciate it!

    Many thanks in advance! :)

hmmm...when learning a new language...my advice would be to practice it a lot......like watching english movies and speaking english to friends such as online...which may seem quite small but al east online they'll be able to practice speaking it and also receive feedback from online friends as well :D

watching films and series arent going to help a lot; there's a limitation to how much can be learned. the best ways to learn is to go out and buy some books and tapes to learn from (but it may become tedious). but the best way is probably through interaction with others who can actually speak the language; the more you communicate through english the more you learn.
