Erica Yuen was the guest for a Hong Kong radio's program "Is there a Mistake?" and was interviewed by Joey Leung. Joey asked her why she keeps on criticizing Tracy Yip, and Erica replied "I didn't enter the entertainment world to 擦鞋 (polish one's shoe)/suck up to anyone. I can't stand people that pretend to be talented. I don't like that people think if you are Miss Hong Kong someone is there to pay for your things and that you are a money grabber. That kind of stereotype is unnecessary." Erica admitted that she entered the Miss Hong Kong pageant because she wanted to have a big name but due to her big mouth, a lot of products dare not ask her to be their spokesperson. Erica expressed that her happiest time was when she entered for the Miss Hong Kong Beauty Pageant. After that her relationship with TVB has deteriorated. She doesn't have a basic salary and "pocket money" and can get "frozen" at anytime. She disclosed that "TVB has many artists, but they don't treasure them. It isn't fair." Erica still reckoned Tracy Yip was a "做馬港姐'' (which means a Miss HK who pulls strings.) She always thought Sharon Luk would be the winner. The top three had problems with language communications. She did ask the reporters to use English and Mandarin to communicate with them if they wanted to get to know them better. Erica can only see eye to eye with Justin, Kay Tse and Linda Chung. "I hate some people that are being kept." When asked if she considered Tracy as friend or enemy, Erica replied "We were friends once...but after I have seen how she treated the other contestants I hardly spoke to her.
