So.......new season just started and was wondering what your views are.

Australian GP was a bit dissappointing for me, though im not sure if its the races' fault or the fact that F1 just isnt the same anymore. The last few years of F1 had focused too much on bickering between teams and team-mates and not enough on the sport. The constant changes in regulations is tiresome...excuse being to improve safety, slow the cars down etc, but none seems to work. I miss the days when teams were allowed to improve their cars freely without constantly being regulated - isnt that the whole point of it being a 'race'.

And no offense to fans etc, and this is my opinion only - the focus on Hamilton is annoying. Sure he did a good job in a very good car, but the commentators that goes on and on about him every single race is putting me off him. I recognise he is a good driver, i just dnt need to be brainwashed into believing he is god...the british commentators seem to worship him. AND dnt get me started with his dad and family...they love the fame too much, i dnt need to hear his opinion...they are irrelavant. BTW i'm british.

I plan to catch every race this season but im making no promises. However, I'm happy to see BMW back in top form, improvements in red bull and Honda's uniform (makes me crack up). Hope to see some good races, want to see Raikenon on top form, Massa improving yet again, Alonso...though difficult to see him winning at least be competitive, and competition between more teams at the top.

ye i don't like the constant changing of the rules like has qualifying changed slightly again? i didn't see the beginning but like it astounded me that nobody was racing in the third qualifying session. aren't they supposed to burn as much fuel as possible to get the quickest time and then they get their fuel back? i didn't see the race but yea i heard that hamilton won. kind of expected cos he has the best car and is a gd driver. i think hamilton will prob win this year. but u never know raikkonen can always win like last year lol.

Nope, no fuel burning anymore in the 3rd round of qualifying, yet another change to the structure......

the constant changing of rules are annoying as it's really not making any significant impact to the racing but more to reliability & strategy. i agree that the constant praise for lewis hamilton is a bit over the top as there are other rookies who are as good but doesn't have the right car. looking forward to the malaysian gp now after the chaotic australian gp. hopefully there are more cars finishing the race this time around...

just watched malaysian gp, def. a better race than australian gp. Raikkonen did a good job, BMW is looking good and looks like will be a contender for the top spot, and thought Webber did a good job too in the redbull. Think this race gives us a good idea how other teams (apart from Ferrei and Maclaren) have improved and looking forward to fights ahead.

ye bmw have finally caught back up and have a gd chance this season or if not next season. renault have somewhat made very little improvement so alonso is going to find it hard to score points this season but i guess they will have updated the engine later on in the season and perhaps renault may have something up their sleeves.

Guess gona have to give renault time to improve though i have no doubt that they will improve. Alonso was rite to move back and he recognises it will take time before the car is competitive again, however, Alonso shd stick with them cos I think a yr or so down the line, renault will be in fighting form again.

I think in another yr or so, there will be alot more teams fighting for podium and it will be a long while before any team will dominate F1 like ferrei and micheal Sch. did.

i really dunno how pplz include this as a sport.....lol. Dont see any offense or defense. maybe tailing eachother and blocking eachother counts as that....lol.

thats cos m. sch was just a brill driver anyway and i must say i miss the gd old days of overtaking on the race rather than on depending on strategy and overtaking in the pits.

I miss those days too, ruined by all the changes in regs. They wanted to make the races better and more appealing to others but it didnt work, and now they are losing the loyal fans as well. I do class F1 as a sport thou alot of pple who doesnt understand it I guess dnt think so. To race in F1, the drivers have to be very fit and very healthy - even more so than other sportsmen, skill is required to drive the car at high speed round turns and to overtake other cars, and dnt forget the extreme conditions they have to drive in (intense heat and heavy rain). Alot of pple also forget how dangerous this sport is.

Kubica did a great job on the last stint of qualifying! But realistically, i dnt think he will win, though hopefully he will stay with the front runners cos he deserves it. As long as theres no engine failures etc etc, I have a feeling Massa mite win, and other top runners will be the usual raikkonen, hamilton and kovalainen. But i do wana see Kubica and Heidfeld up there, BMW has improved alot and it would be good to see them winning races again. Oh, this is just me, would LOVE to see kovalainen bet Hamilion, hate hamiliton's 'im the head racer' attitude - thought Mclarin has a 'both driver's equal policy'!!

Well anyways, enough ranting, cnt wait til the race 2morrow!

its gonna be tough but have a strange feeling that massa could win this, he hasn't collected any points i don't think in the previous races or very few, so he rele has to up his game.
