Face Wash

Discussion in 'Health, Beauty, and Fashion' started by hadouken, Apr 24, 2008.

  1. so im lookin to try new face washes and i picked up "Biore Pore Perfect"

basically it's givin me pimples (which i never had) where ever i put it and makes my skin flakey (also my face is very sensitive), so is it time for me to look for a new face wash or is there a certain time to see if my skin gets used to it? ive used it only once a day for about 3 days so far.

also what would you guys recommend for a good face wash for sensitive skin, thanks.

yeah .. i don't think you should use it anymore. it's probably not the right type for your skin

i use clean & clear, and there's this one for sensitive skin

Check out Biotherm. They have a whole set of products for sensitive skin. It's rather expensive, but hey... what's the price for having a perfect looking healthy skin. :p Also, make sure you're using the right face moisturizer.

Though.... by flakey, do you mean that your skin kinda peel? If so, it means that the product is too strong (as in drying your skin), but since you say it's giving you pimple... I'm not sure. But yeah, your face won't get used to the product, so you should stop using.

^^ OMG! dont use st. ives if you have sensitive skin. the exfoliators they use are HUGE and soooo coarse. really damaging to your skin.

you should also look into an exfoliator to get rid of the flaking skin.

the pimples may not just be caused by the face wash, if you dont exfoliate and moisturize, dry skin can cause break outs too.

you should try Benefits "Honey, Snap Out of It" exfoliator ($18) and Clinque facial soap in mild ($14).. you can get it at your local Macys or any other department store.

I believe it makes your skin flaky because the product is too dry for your skin. It practically rip your natural oil instead of moisturizing it. Oh before you go buy any face wash, make sure to check for what skin type. Some are for oily skin and if you use that you'll have dry skin.

they do have a senitive skin version, but the size of the exfoliating beads are still really big and can be really harsh on your skin. if you are going to get an exfoliator i would just recommed going and getting some good quality stuff.

benefits, clinque and keihls are affordable and really good products. you can always try origins, their stuff is good. if you have the money i would suggest investing in products like chanel or la mer. the prices might throw you off but the qaulity of their stuff is unbeatable. go to your local department store and check it out.

besides with a department store (ie Nordstroms, Macys) if you buy a product from them and dont like it, or it doesnt work for you, or if it makes you break out you can always exchange it for something else or get your money back. that way you arent spending a whole lot of money on crap that isnt working on you. you actually save money in the long run if you are buying better quality products.
