Wednesday October 31, 2007 Hong Kong Fala Chen (陳法拉) took part in a promotional event today for Joy & Peace footwear, modelling their Autumn/Winter range of footwear and handbags. Although Fala was the only model at this event, she seemed very calm and collected on the catwalk. However, she admitted that she was quite nervous during her performance. Asked if she had received a six-figure fee for this job or if she had taken her fee in shoes and bags instead, Fala said she was not sure and it had been arranged by the company. Fala's favourite design was the fashionable mid-length boots and she revealed that she had a shoe cupboard at home that was 20 levels high that could house nearly 100 pairs of shoes. She said that she spends about $2000 a month on shoes. Talking of embarrassing stories about shoes, she recalled when she fell over after slipping in the rain wearing flats and another time when she caught one of her heels in a gutter grid, leaving her very embarrassed. The TVB anniversary celebrations will be taking place soon, but Fala said she has not had time to prepare her outfit or her jewellery yet. credits: batgwa.
