Currently on summer break from her masters' program at Julliard, Fala Chen (陳法拉) is back in Hong Kong working hard, appearing at a promotional charity event for Weekend MaxMara with Olympic swimming athlete Stephanie Au (歐鎧淳). Both being avid cat lovers was extremely supportive of the event as it will be donating all proceeds to helping animals. Fala revealed that she will be directing her first short film that she wrote herself and is currently in the process of shooting. " As a first time director, there are a lot of things to consider and take into account. I've called in a lot of favours in order to invite and hire the actors and film crew to help out. It was very heartwarming as everyone is participating as volunteers. I can't reveal the plot or cast members just yet but I can tell you that filming will be taking place in both Hong Kong and New York. We have already completed some indoor scenes which went relatively smooth however we've had to cancel the outdoor shoot a few days ago due to the rain.
