A fan club of the now-disbanded five-man group HOT will hold various events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the group’s formation. The fan club will hold a party entitled “Since 1996” at the Olympic Park in Seoul on Aug. 19. It will also publish the essay book “Our Story” soon and donate proceeds from the sales of the book to help those in need through the KBS TV program “Love Request.” HOT, which was a highly popular group in the late 1990s, is still loved passionately by its fans despite having disbanded in 2001. The fan club plans to release the group’s unofficial fourth digital album to demonstrate its persistent love. The fans themselves wrote, composed, and sang all the songs in the album, selecting vocalists through online auditions. Earlier on Sunday, Aug. 6, another fan club held a video concert at a park in Jamsil, Seoul to celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary. -KBS
