Metro Radio held an event on Friday to introduce the newcomers to the music industry who are in the running for this year's Hit Radio Awards. The show was attended by a host of new faces, including Sherman Chung (鍾舒漫), Ken Hung (洪卓立), Raymond Lam (林峯), Jason Chan (陳柏宇), Pakho Chau (周柏豪), Freeze and Ryan Lam (林威辰).

All the fans were out in force to show their support for their idols and over a thousand people joined the crowds, holding up signs and calling out the singers' names. Ken and Pakho's fans seemed to be the most agressive and there was a moment when the two groups seemed to break into an argument during Pakho's piano performance. During the scuffle, Ken's fans began beating drums to interrupt the performance and the two groups even ended up shouting expletives and insults at each other.

When Ken was asked about the behaviour of his fans, he seemed very surprised and suggested that maybe they were just over-excited because they are usually very well behaved. He promised that he would speak to his fans about it. As for whether he was worried about this affecting his friendship with Pakho, Ken said that they will understand the situation.

Pakho said that he was too busy concentrating on his singing at the time and he thought the shouting was just his fans calling him. He said that the most important thing was for everyone to have fun/

Girlband Freeze stole the show by performing a few flirtatious walks and even crawling around on the floor, creating quite a frenzy in the crowd.
