Faye Wong's shampoo advertisement exposed Queen of Pop, Faye Wong, returns with three versions of a shampoo The ad made its first run on TV on May 21, showing Wong in a palace setting, as an empress in golden dress and crown, looking glamourous and authoritative. Along with the light-hearted and melodious music, Wong removes her crown and reveals her long black hair. According to Bawang International Group, the shampoo company, the RMB$20million (about S$4million) advertisement was filmed in Thailand in April, and is a joint effort of Wong's makeup artiste Zing, artistic director William Chang and hairstylist Elaine Wong. In the second version of the ad, Wong is seen clad in a long black dress in the middle of a clean and airy blue room. As she opens her arms to embrace the breeze, her long hair gets windblown. In the last version, Wong is seen walking in a field, very much free and relaxed. These advertisements will be broadcast on China's major TV channels in June. Recently a rundown of Taiwan's 20th Golden Melody Awards was leaked and Wong was one of the names seen under the list of guest presenters. The Queen's return to screen will definitely be a boost for the TV ratings for the 20th anniversary show, if she turns up.
