Just wondering if anybody can help me... I have a Mac Mini, a Mac Book air and a Desktop windows xp. I can share files between the 2 macs but having no success with sharing between the macs and windows. I can "see" the connections but cannot access via the macs and also when in Windows, can't see/access my shared files. So confused! Help??

The connection between the 2 macs are also quite slow. I found a website that said to duplicate the ip address etc. would that make it faster if I did this??

Thanks! I tried that but no luck :(

Just had a thought... I think I have the 2 macs in a network called 'kermit' and these access the internet via a router. The windows computer is just plugged into the back of the router. But I have never set up a network with the 3 computers.. do you think this could be the problem?

Might try tomorrow when I summon up the courage to 'set up a wireless network' from the windows...

If I'm wrong, do you think that it might change all my other settings?

well i have a mac pro and windows 7 but i guess it can be the same but if u setup a home network u should be able to see ur mac on ur network place on ur xp and when ever u want ur files on the mac to be seen on the pc u have to put it in ur public folder and for xp u have to drag the files to the drop box in the mac to be able to use on it
