Of S.H.E, Ella was the first one to purchase her own property. After she spent NTW $15 million and bought her place at Chin-Hwa St. in Taipei three years ago, recently she planned to invest another NTW$ 10 million to build a two-story new house in the farmland of her home in Pingtung so that her family including her grandparents, parents, sister and brother, could live in more comfortable surroundings. Of particular interest was this piece of land used to be a hog house when she was a child and her family was raising pigs. Ella even had once helped her father to catch and castrated pigs when she was younger. This piece of farm land which was located not far from the back of her house was filled with memories from Ella’s childhood. She said: [We originally had 400 pigs. Each pig could sell up to six or seven thousand dollars. Later when the foot-and-mouth epidemic took place, the price for a head of pig dropped to two thousand dollars. Although our pigs were not infected but my father decided not to raised pigs anymore.] Afterwards, her grandparents used the empty space to grow vegetables and Betel nuts. Seeing how her parents and grandparents were getting on with the years, Ella decided to improve the living conditions of her family. Construction of the new house will begin next month. This new house represents both her dream and her love for her family. From the model presented to her by the architect, this two-storey building is designed in a post-modern style with French windows for both upstairs and downstairs to allow sunlight to come through. The rooftop will be an open area. When Ella’s mother saw the model, she said to her daughter: [You are building such a beautiful house.] Ella was very touched upon hearing that. Ella said: [Originally I wanted to build a three-storey building but my mother was worried that it would be too heavy a financial burden for me. After all, the stock market crisis has not yet passed.] The construction of this new house is expected to take approximately one year to complete. She expressed happily: [When this house is finished, I will most likely coming here every couple of days.] Bear-Hugged by Ella, Yoga Chagrined Over Wearing Too Much S.H.E and Yoga Lin will be collaborating for the first time when they guest perform in the Singapore stop of his concert tour. During rehearsal, Selina held her dog Pinky in her arms but Ella turned around and gave a bear hug to Yoga Lin which had him happily exclaiming: [I so regret wearing a thick coat today.] This will be the sixth stop and the last stop for Yoga Lin’s concert tour. It will take place in Singapore on February 20th and the guest performers will be his heavy-weight seniors S.H.E. This is also their first stage collaboration since becoming artists for the same company. Originally Yoga Lin had happily wanting to utilize this ‘benefit’ to the max and planned to sing a duet with each of his three seniors, however, in the end, the idea was rejected by the company because “it took too much time’. It was finally decided that S.H.E and Yoga would sing one song together. As for S.H.E who had not been to Singapore for one year and seven months, they would take this opportunity to promote their new album and present their new songs in a medley. During rehearsal, Selina tightly held her dog Pinky while Ella turned and grabbed hold of a shy Yoga Lin. He later even humorously complained with chagrin that his clothing was too thick. S.H.E was in China taping a new beverage CF and will not be arriving to Singapore to meet up with Yoga Lin until February 19th. Selina was too relaxed over the Lunar New Year vacation that her “moon-face” seemed to make a re-appearance again. In comparison, the food-loving Yoga was more controlled and refrained from binging in Singapore. He even got up at 9 o’clock every morning to exercise for an hour. As a result, he appeared to be slimmer than Selina. Source: Apple Daily, UDN
